Course History

Granite Hills Golf Course began as a dream for Lac Du Bonnet's Walter Zarecki and Robert Kost in 1983. A business plan was developed, the province consented and the development began.

Walter and Robert teamed up with Les Furber, renowned golf course designer for some input into the layout of Granite Hills. The project was eventually taken over by Fred Jeschke, and after his passing the project was taken over by a group of investors. Walter Zarecki lived to see his dream become a reality as Granite Hills Golf Club opened for business on August 11, 2007.

The venture now exists as Granite Hills Golf Club & Estates, a 320 acre sub-division situated at the point where the Lee River joins Lac Du Bonnet Lake. The area has become a popular place for homes and cottages.

Granite Hills is a "must see, must play" golf course for many golfers visiting the province.
